Security Is Our Top Priority: We Never Look at Your Files

In yesterday’s weekly subscriber email, I made the comment about how we get a chance to peek inside all kinds of productions that use This was meant as an introduction to the story we ran this week in which we interviewed one of our customers.

A couple of people reached out to me, concerned that we look at the files you upload. This is ABSOLUTELY not the case. There’s nothing we take more seriously than the security of your content and data!

We do not look at, nor have the ability to see your files.

What I intended to say was that we have access to high-profile, post-production professionals because high-end productions and enterprises use our product. We’ve interviewed the editors for Avengers: Endgame, Mission: Impossible, Pixar films, the VFX team for Get Out, VICE, BuzzFeed, etc. They have graciously given us behind-the-scenes looks at their productions and processes, and only share what they feel comfortable sharing with us. My sincerest apologies for giving you the wrong impression.

Given the highly confidential nature of the files uploaded to our systems, security is of the utmost importance. Our security measures extend beyond the technologies we’ve implemented into the platform, and exceed the compliance levels for similar businesses in our industry.

If you would like to know just how seriously we take security, I encourage you to read our CEO’s Word About Security.

Never hesitate to reach out to me if you ever see anything on our blog that concerns you, or if you feel we’ve made an error in something we’ve written about (and we also like to hear from you when you tell us what we’re doing right).

Again, my apologies for raising concerns. Rest assured, your files are safe, sound, secret, and secure.

As always, thanks for reading.

Stay inspired!
