New at IBC 2024

We’re at IBC 2024, and we’re so happy to make two late-breaking announcements with news from our partners Atomos and Accsoon, who continue to make Camera to Cloud workflows even more robust and flexible.

Atomos

We debuted our first integration with Atomos back at NAB 2022, and over the past two years Atomos has extended its integrations to five products—helping customers worldwide from the LA Clippers, Ralph Lauren, Red Bull Media House, and the BRITS awards red carpet event to streamline the camera to completion workflow.

For IBC, we’re excited to announce that Atomos devices will directly integrate with Frame.io without the need for an Atomos Cloud Studio account, making connecting Atomos devices faster, more accessible, and more secure. While Atomos Cloud Studio is a powerful platform for managing Atomos equipment and provides Live Streaming and Live Production Control, for users who simply want to use an Atomos device to enable C2C, you can still upload in real time and see the status of your device in your Frame.io project.

Beyond that, the Atomos Ninja Phone has a free software update (coming soon) that will provide Camera to Cloud connectivity, first announced at this year’s NAB. The Atomos Ninja Phone turns your mobile device or iPad into an Atomos encoder with built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, and is perfect for anyone who wants to keep their camera rig light with an all-in-one C2C solution.

Accsoon CineView Master 4K

We first announced our partnership with Accsoon at IBC 2023 with the SeeMo and SeeMo Pro devices. Both allowed videographers, journalists, and news teams to use iPhones or iPads as professional video monitoring devices with features similar to those offered by Atomos, BlackMagic Design, or SmallHD.

This year, the Accsoon CineView Master 4K debuts as the world’s first transmitter and receiver solution with a Frame.io Camera to Cloud integration, making the on-set workflow significantly more efficient. This integration allows for real-time streaming of footage from a transmitter to a receiver, which can connect up to four devices wirelessly and one more device hardwired to the transmitter. This means that multiple team members can monitor the footage in real time.

Additionally, files can be sent to Frame.io while shooting via the AccsoonSEE app, streamlining the dailies process. As people on set view the clips, the same footage is simultaneously uploaded to Frame.io. This eliminates the need to wait until the camera stops rolling to begin uploading to the cloud. Stakeholders or editors who are not using the CineView’s real-time review function can still access the footage from the set via Frame.io, enabling faster turnaround for dailies or assemblies.

If you’re at the show, stop by Hall 7, Stand #7.B35, where we’ll demo both of these integrations, along with the latest from Fujifilm, Panasonic, and RED. We’ll also demo the new Frame.io connection to Lightroom and, of course, we’ll have end-to-end walkthroughs of Frame.io Version 4.

See you soon!
