Announcing Presence, View History, and Asset Search

A great video collaboration system helps you quickly and efficiently find the media you need, as well as show you in real-time, with whom you’re collaborating. Now Frame.io does both. We’re excited to announce Frame.io PresenceView History, and Asset Search.

Asset Search

The Frame.io search bar now supports project and asset search. Find recent files you’ve been working on, or dig up that project from six months ago. With Frame.io Asset Search, you spend less time looking for files and more time making great content.
Frame.io Asset Search looks through all your versions, so there’s no need to worry about looking for a file that’s buried under a final version.

We’ve also added a type filter so you can quickly narrow your results down to folders, videos, images, and audio files. This helps you sort to only see the asset types you’re looking for.

And of course our search result thumbnails support hover scrubbing so you can preview a video file right within your search results without jumping out to the player page. 😎

Further down the line, we’ll expand on this release to include additional filters to search for the files you need. For now, we hope you enjoy this first step in the Frame.io journey to better asset discovery.

View History

We’ve introduced View History so you don’t have to wonder whether your team has seen your latest upload. You can see who viewed an asset and when they viewed it. Get more details about an asset’s view history by clicking into the team member profile images.

Presence

We’ve also introduced Presence to give you a real-time indication when a teammate is viewing the same asset as you. This is the first step towards a more collaborative and connected feedback experience.
