It’s an exciting time in the world of filmmaking technology. We’re constantly impressed by the brilliant teams out there who are building incredible tools that empower us to tell better stories.
We already offer deep integration with your favorite content creation software and connectivity with an amazing number of apps. From Airtable and Slack to Final Cut Pro X and DaVinci Resolve. But that’s just the beginning.
As Frame.io continues to push the limits of our industry, we’re bringing on new technology partners to help solve the toughest workflow challenges.
Today, we’re thrilled to introduce three powerful new integrations: StorageDNA, REACH ENGINE, and Telestream Vantage.
DNAfabric
StorageDNA’s mission is simple. They want to take your increasingly complex collection of data administration software and storage hardware, and let you manage this infrastructure with a single toolkit.
Whether you’re using a mix of tape, disk, or cloud storage, their DNAfabric solution brings it all together in one place, securely and safely.
As well as supporting common cloud storage solutions like S3, Azure, Wasabi, and Backblaze, DNAFabric connects with your on-premises NAS and SAN systems, including Nexis, Isilon, Qumulo, Editshare, and StorNext—or a hybrid mix of the above. It also understands what assets are in your Avid and Premiere projects, AAFs, and XMLs allowing it to manage the complexities of syncing media across both on-prem and off-prem storage solutions.
Connecting to DNAFabric allows you to use Frame.io as your media asset manager while handing off the storage, sync, backup, and disaster recovery to your enterprise storage infrastructure — all of which can be managed and monitored from DNAFabric’s single toolset.
REACH ENGINE
REACH ENGINE is a media asset management platform with unique media orchestration capabilities that enable automated asset ingests, work process flows to the right teams at the right time, and touchless movement and manipulation of content + data from planning and production, through packaging and distribution.
Like Frame.io’s Project-based structure, REACH ENGINE works on a Collections principle. It also has a panel for Premiere Pro that allows search, import, and export of media assets directly into the project you’re working on.
If you’re already using Frame.io and REACH ENGINE, you can now maintain asset consistency between both systems. So assets from a REACH Collection can be uploaded to a Frame.io Project and, if approved, brought back into REACH. Simple and highly effective.
Note: Access to Levels Beyond’s Workflow Marketplace is required to enable this feature.
Telestream Vantage
If you’ve watched TV, then you’ll no doubt have seen Telestream Vantage at work. And that should give you some idea of the scale and power of this media processing platform. With Telestream Vantage, you can pull streams from multiple sources, transcode them on the fly, QC them, pipe the originals and transcodes to multiple locations, and get the results to edit and playout systems.
This is no small achievement. And now you can connect Frame.io as a native media destination in any Vantage workflow. This lets you upload directly from Telestream Vantage to Frame.io, adding our robust collaboration, review, and approval tools to the complex pipelines supported by this media-processing juggernaut.
More to come
We’re constantly working to bring you the integrations you need to build better, faster, more productive workflows. So expect to see more Frame.io integrations in the future.
